Searching for graduate and post-graduate grants

Access SCIO's grants database:

Grant Name

For Grant names search by phrase or part of phrase. When searching for a particular grant it is best to keep the search fairly wide and search for just one word or part of one word.
The following searches:

  • "Blogg"
  • "Blogging for Progress"
  • "g for p"

... will all bring back one result:

  • Blogging for Progress Scholarship

But these searches bring back no result

  • "Blog for progress"
  • "Blogging progress"

GPA

Entering a GPA score (between 0 and 4) will exclude any grants that require the applicant to have a GPA score higher or lower than that GPA. Leave the field empty if you do not want to filter GPA score.

Maximum Deadline Date

This field is currently not active.

Academic status

Entering an academic status will exclude any grants that require the applicant to have an academic status higher or lower than the one entered. Leave the field empty if you do not want to filter by academic status.

Gender

Selecting a gender will exclude grants incompatible with the submitted gender. It does not return grants limited to that gender; it excludes grants that are limited to the other gender.

Area of Study

Selecting an Area of study filters results to grants that are limited to four main areas of study: Humanities and Arts; Mathematical, Physical and Life Sciences; Medical Sciences; Social Sciences. Some grants do not specify a particular area of study; you should search for these grants by searching for ‘Unspecified' as your area of study. Leave the field empty if you do not want to filter by area of study.

Specific disciple (AOS specified)

Selecting a specific area of study filters results to grants that are specifically limited to one of 52 specialized areas of study. Some grants do not specify a particular area of study: you can search specifically for these grants under ‘Unspecified'. Leave the field empty if you do not want to filter by specific area of study.

Residential Status

Selecting residential status filters results to exclude grants incompatible with the submitted residential status (US citizen; US resident; US Green card holder; International).

Race

Selecting race filters results to grants that are limited to the selected race, but at present to list is inclusive. We plan to improve this in a later release. Leave the field empty if you do not want to filter by area by race.
