Managed & Partner Programs

WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE?

Council-Managed Programs are owned and operated by the Council for Christian Colleges & Universities.  They are the direct management responsibility of the Council board of directors and staff. They are also subject to regular review by the Student Academic Programs Commission.  These programs include the American Studies Program, China Studies Program, Contemporary Music Center, Latin American Studies Program, Los Angeles Film Studies Center, Middle East Studies Program, The Scholars’ Semester in Oxford, Russian Studies Program, Washington Journalism Center, and Oxford Summer Programme.

International Partner Programs are owned and operated by Affiliate Institutions of the Council for Christian Colleges & Universities.   These programs are under the direct management and responsibility of the Affiliate Institutions while being subject to the same academic standards and on-site reviews (by the Student Academic Programs Commission) as Council-managed programs.  CCCU staff also participates in the day-to-day administration of the programs and facilitates enrollment of students.  These programs include the Uganda Studies Program and the Australia Studies Centre.
