The Russian Studies Program, which has been at the heart of the BestSemester culture-crossing programs for the past 16 years, closed at the conclusion of the fall 2010 semester.
"While Russia continues to be strategically important in the world today and our appreciation of Russian people and culture has not diminished, current trends in study abroad has made it increasing difficult to attract students in sufficient numbers to continue offering a high quality culture crossing experience. RSP has served us well and its impact will continue in the lives of the participants for many years to come," said Dr. Ken Bussema, vice president of student programs.
