--L.A. Filmworks is an alumni program and $20,000 grant of the Los Angeles Film Studies Center (LAFSC), a student program of the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities (CCCU).  The principal purpose of L.A. FilmWorks is to support alumni in creating quality cinematic art and entertainment while providing alumni opportunities to participate in the festival circuit, and to raise awareness of the LAFSC and its alumni as cinema professionals.

--L.A. FilmWorks is committed to high quality storytelling and production value that exhibit a Christian reverence for truth.  L.A. Filmworks will self produce its projects under the direct oversight of the Director of the LAFSC.

--Recent project: The Interview, director Michelle Steffes, won the Grand Prize of the USA Film Festival and helped facilitate the Michelle's invitation to membership of the Academy of Motion Pictures, Arts and Sciences (AMPAS).  The invitation is rare, and only 178 were invited at the time, mostly recognizable names.
