Recent BestSemester alumni are encouraged to submit photos from their off-campus semester to the 2008 Photo Contest.  One photo will be awarded the grand prize of $500.  Additionally, there will be three other winners of $200.

For the 2008 BestSemester Photo Contest, we are looking for photos that capture one or more of the following elements:

·        Emotion - Images in this category will capture the essence of a moment of accomplishment, surprise, triumph, discovery, etc.

·        Local Life - Images in this category will capture the uniqueness of the location in which you studied, communicating the human charm or natural beauty of where your semester took place.  (Photos that show program participants interacting with locals are especially valued.)

·        Community - Images in this category will illustrate the interaction of program participants with one another, the surrounding city, neighborhood, church or marketplace.

 

Each photo must have been takenwhile on the BestSemester program.  Photos may be in black and white, but color is preferred.  Photos must be submitted digitally as a TIFF, EPS or JPEG using the Entry Form, and must be printable at 8x10" at 300 dpi.  By submitting each photo participants authorize BestSemester/the CCCU to use the image in electronic and/or print publications.

 

Participants from Summer 2006, Fall 2006, Spring 2007, Summer 2007, Fall 2007, and Spring 2008 Best Semester programs are eligible for prizes.  All entries must be received by July 1, 2008 (5:00pm EST).  Contest winners will be annouced in August 2008 with a prize check to be mailed shortly thereafter.
