The CCCU boasts a 7.2 percent increase over last spring’s enrollment with a record 267 students in eight student programs across the world this spring semester.
Sixty-six member schools are sending their students to CCCU spring semester programs, including Tabor College. Jodi Warkentin, a Tabor College senior from Wichita, will be spending the spring 2004 semester immersed in Spanish courses in Costa Rica through the Latin American Studies Program (LASP).
"I want to help people understand each other," said Warkentin. "If it takes learning multiple languages, then that's what I'll do."
The inaugural semester of two international partner programs, The Australia Studies Centre and the Uganda Studies Program, will begin in a few weeks, bringing the total students enrolled in semester programs for the spring to 297.
Top institutions sending a significant percentage of their students to CCCU programs this spring include Taylor University, Messiah College, Northwestern College (IA), Gordon College and Olivet Nazarene University.
