Opportunities for Travel and Education
The CCCU is offering opportunities for faculty and staff to experience BestSemester programs while exploring topics of interest with CCCU peers!
In addition to the many professional development opportunities offered through the CCCU's Professional Development & Research department, the Student Programs department is offering unique opportunities for travel and education.
Faculty Visit to the American Studies Program
February 25-27, 2009
Each spring semester, the American Studies Program team welcomes CCCU faculty and staff to Washington, DC. With a new administration in power, the next program visit on February 25-27, 2009, will be an exciting time to catch a glimpse of what CCCU students experience on the American Studies Program! This visit will comprise three days in which faculty and staff can observe class sessions, visit student internship sites, and participate in briefings with people who are making a difference in Washington.
Professional Development Study Tour to Costa Rica & Nicaragua
August 1-12, 2009
This study tour – “Exploring Latin American Life and Culture” – will take place in August 2009. Participants will have first-hand encounters with various segments of Latin American society and culture. During conference sessions, participants will also have the opportunity to engage local perspectives on the political, economic, social and religious realities of Latin America. This study tour will include time in San Jose, Costa Rica (where the program is based) and Nicaragua.
