Managed & Partner Programs

WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE?

Council-Managed Programs are owned and operated by the Council for Christian Colleges & Universities.  They are the direct management responsibility of the Council board of directors and staff. They are also subject to regular review by the Student Academic Programs Commission.  These programs include the American Studies Program, China Studies Program, Contemporary Music Center, Latin American Studies Program, Los Angeles Film Studies Center, Middle East Studies Program, The Scholars’ Semester in Oxford, Russian Studies Program, Washington Journalism Center, and Oxford Summer Programme.

International Partner Programs are offered in cooperation with and hosted by International Affiliate Institutions of the Council for Christian Colleges & Universities. These programs are under the direct management of the Council for Christian Colleges & Universities with shared responsibilities for various academic and student life components of the program. International Partner programs are operated by the same academic standards as Council-owned programs and participate in on-site reviews by the Student Academic Programs Commission. The director and North American members of the programs are CCCU employees. These programs include the Uganda Studies Program and the Australia Studies Centre.
