BestSemester Alumni Ambassador Program
Did you have a great time on your BestSemester program? Were you dying to tell your friends about it when you returned to your home campus? Would you be interested in an opportunity to share about your adventures, gain some cool marketing experience, and earn some extra cash?
The Student Programs team of the CCCU will be hiring a group of 15-20 Alumni Ambassadors who will represent BestSemester by hosting one major event on their home campuses during the 2009-2010 school year. Do you have any interest in being one of our BestSemester Alumni Ambassadors next year?
To give you a better idea of what's involved, here's what we're asking our BestSemester Alumni Ambassadors to do:
- Plan, promote, and pull-off (primary responsibility for) a large-scale event on your campus that highlights all 12 of the BestSemester programs;
- Keep the off-campus study coordinator on your campus (whom I can identify for you) aware of your plans and comfortable with how you're proceeding;
- Contact students on your campus (contact info provided) who have started applications for BestSemester programs to invite them to the event;
- Follow up with interested students after the event;
- Stay in touch with me in the DC office as you plan, prepare, and follow up;
- And HAVE FUN getting other students excited about the BestSemester programs!
We're happy to give the next group of BestSemester Alumni Ambassadors plenty of freedom in how they plan and promote their events, but we're also willing to offer help (in the form of a cash stipend for their hard work, a pre-determined amount of money to cover the cost of the event, any advice they might need, and regular encouragement) from our DC office.

do you mind answering just a few questions? Simply follow this link to access an online questionnaire. We'll use your answers to help us narrow our recommended students down to our final 15-20 Alumni Ambassadors. Your completed questionnaire must be submitted by Friday, June 5.
Please know that if you're selected to participate as a BestSemester Alumni Ambassador, we will want you to feel prepared to pull off an event on your campus and answer a broad range of questions. Therefore, we're scheduling a webinar/conference call at two separate times:
- Wednesday, July 22, 2-5 pm EST
- Tuesday, July 28, 7-10 pm EST
You will need to indicate which one of these mandatory training sessions you'll be able to attend when you fill out the online questionnaire.
