At ASP, you live eight blocks from the U.S. Capitol and Supreme Court in a fully-furnished apartment for four to six students, complete with a well-equipped kitchen, a washer and dryer, and free local telephone and voicemail service. Your apartment is in the Council's
Transportation
Metro train and bus fares are inexpensive and taxi rates are moderate. The program's facilities are located in the heart of Capitol Hill with convenient access to Metro bus stops and Metro train lines and to both Amtrak and MARC. Although bringing a car is discouraged, Zipcar (a car-sharing business throughout the region) is available to those students who are interested.
