Sydney is now the economic powerhouse and most cosmopolitan city in the fascinating country of Australia. And like most urban centers, it exudes both a devil-may-care attitude and a self-conscious obsession with global trends. One former student called it "a blend of Hollywood, New York City and San Francisco."

Drummoyne is a short bus ride from downtown Sydney and sites made famous by the 2000 Olympics - places such as the Sydney Opera House, the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Bondi Beach.

The Australia Studies Centre partners with Wesley Institute, a performing arts/theology college located in the Sydney suburb of Drummoyne.

Field Trips take students to the following places:

  • The Australian capital city of Canberra (two days) in order to engage foreign affairs and policies, as well as public service officers from a number of countries.
  • The Outback (six days) in order to connect with Australian land and envirnoment.
  • Auckland, New Zealand (one week) in order to broaden awareness of indigenous peoples, especially the Maori people.
